The State Office for Mining, Energy and Geology (LBEG) is a member of FZ:GEO and an important partner of LUH in geoscientific research. In order to promote and expand the good cooperation in the future, a cooperation agreement was signed by LBEG President Carsten Mühlenmeier and LUH President Prof. Dr Volker Epping on Tuesday, 12 November 2024.

The aim of the cooperation is to develop methods for the sustainable use of the earth's natural resources. To this end, an exchange of information and knowledge is to take place, as well as the qualification of students and scientific staff. The focus is on the topics of soil, water and climate change.
